Summer Courses

Inside a Summer Session classroom

Watch: Summer Session Academics in Action

Summer Session provides a wide range of courses in math, science, writing, reading, English as a second language, foreign languages, visual arts, and performing arts.

Our five 40-minute daily class periods encourage students to create unique personalized programs. Small class sizes, differentiated instruction, and a holistic approach allow our teachers to get to know each student and support his/her individual growth. We also encourage families to share with any student-specific goals we can address over the summer. For the complete list of classes offered in 2024, please see the Course Catalog. The 2025 course catalog will be available on March 1, 2025.

At the end of Summer Session, students receive effort grades and comments detailing their individual progress in each of their courses. We believe that eliminating achievement grades allows students to focus on enjoying learning.

From beginning to end, the entire experience was pleasant. From the time we pulled up the staff was very welcoming, the dorm parents are great and my daughter had a great experience at Summer Session. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
