Virtual Family Weekend Set for April 30-May 1

Next weekend, May 1-2, is scheduled to be Spring Family Weekend at Cardigan. While we are saddened that we cannot host all of you on The Point because of the pandemic, we are excited to invite all of you to a "virtual" Spring Family Weekend.

Advisor/Family Zoom Meetings

Soon, your son's advisor will be reaching out to schedule a "Zoom" meeting with you and your son. We hope to schedule most of these meetings on Thursday, April 30 or Friday, May 1, but schedule and time zone differences may require some meetings to occur outside of this time frame.

The Cardigan Experience in Video

In an effort to share the Cardigan experience with our global community during this time we must remain apart, we are busy producing several short videos:

  • Tour of Wallach: Wallach -- our new academic building and home for our Gates Program, E.P.I.C. Center, woodshop, and art department -- is under construction with completion on schedule for this summer. We'll offer you an inside-the-hardhat-zone tour of the site as this exciting new building continues to take shape.

  • An Update from the Art Department: Our art department has been hard at work over the last several weeks, injecting creativity, community spirit, competition, and a healthy dose of fun into our lives. Take a moment to review some of the amazing work that's been produced, and share some smiles while doing it.

  • Guest Alumni Speaker: Cardigan is about brotherhood, and that feeling extends beyond our campuses and beyond our time together here on The Point. Listen to a special guest alumnus share his experiences at Cardigan and beyond while reflecting on the connections you've made while being part of this amazing community.

  • State of the School: Head of School Chris Day P’12,’13 will provide some perspective on our time "together, alone" and provide updates about some of the major issues currently facing us as a school and community.

We will post these video stories on our Family Weekend page next Friday, May 1. We look forward to "seeing" you then!
