Summer Session Announces New Dates and Additional Two-Week Sessions for 2026

Cardigan Summer Session

Cardigan Summer Session is excited to announce an updated calendar and added flexibility for Summer 2026, giving students and families more ways than ever to experience learning and adventure on The Point. Next summer, families may choose from three options: a first two-week session from Saturday, July 4 to Saturday, July 18, a second two-week session from Saturday, July 18 to Saturday, August 1, or the complete four-week session from Saturday, July 4 to Saturday, August 1.

In response to feedback from families and school partners, Cardigan Summer Session will also begin one full week later than in recent summers. This adjustment provides more separation between the end of the regular school year and the start of Summer Session, allowing students valuable time to recharge while giving families additional flexibility for planning.

“These changes are all about meeting families where they are,” says Director of Auxiliary Programs Matt Rinkin P’28. “By starting later and offering both two-week and four-week options, we’re making it easier for students to enjoy a Cardigan Summer Session experience without having to choose between camp, family vacations, and sports commitments. I’m thrilled about the new opportunities this schedule provides for our community.”

Whether students are joining for two weeks or the full four-week experience, they will enjoy Cardigan’s signature blend of engaging courses, outdoor adventures, and a welcoming residential community that encourages them to try new things, build confidence, and make lasting friendships.

Details about tuition, financial aid, courses, and activities for Summer 2026 are available at cardigan.org/summer. Families are encouraged to explore the options and begin planning a Cardigan Summer Session experience that fits their schedules, interests, and goals for the summer ahead.
