Spring Concert Showcases Beauty and Excellence

Cardigan's Spring Concert

While this spring’s music concert marked the end of the school year, Director of Music Kevin Franco doesn’t see it as an end but just one step in the creative journeys of our Cardigan boys. As the evening concluded he shared, “Tonight we saw the culmination of beauty and excellence, which, if you can appreciate and implement throughout your life, will take you places. If you are returning here next year, I hope you will consider being a part of our fall concert. If you are moving on, hopefully you take this appreciation with you to your next school.”

Cardigan’s music program introduces students to a variety of music genres, allowing them to explore their creative passions while at the same time expanding their understanding of music theory. The program also allows for a wide variety of skill levels, providing challenges for both advanced and beginner musicians. The result at the end of the year is a music performance that features beginners with simple instruments as well as advanced musicians whose talent has been cultivated and refined. Either way, as Mr. Franco shares, the goal for all is to nurture life-long musicians who will continue their musical pursuits for many years to come.
