The "infodemic" era in which we now live has made positive youth development more challenging than ever, both for boys and their caregivers. Yet the role of caring adults remains unchanged: set a good example, listen attentively, spend time together, and stay grounded in our core values. In this insightful and practical workshop, Dr. Chris Thurber—himself a parent of two boys—will share new strategies for connection and communication that all caregivers can use to raise moral, sensitive, and resilient boys.

Dr. Christopher Thurber is an award-winning writer and thought leader who has dedicated his professional life to improving how adults care for kids and to enhancing the experience of adventurous young people who are spending time away from home. A graduate of Harvard and UCLA, Dr. Thurber has served as a psychologist and instructor at Phillips Exeter Academy since 1999. He co-authored The Unlikely Art of Parental Pressure and The Summer Camp Handbook. Learn more by visiting DrChrisThurber.com.
