Finding Your Nemesis in This Year’s Fall Play

On the athletic fields, some people might say Cardigan’s nemesis is Eaglebrook. A friendly rivalry that spans decades, the games against Eaglebrook are hard-fought and victories are sweet. In fact, one of the greatest things about any nemesis is that they often make you better, challenging you to dig deeper and try harder. Even when you are a superhero.

Will You Be My Nemesis? by Kathryn Funkhouser––with special arrangement with Stage Partners––was this year’s fall play. Stage Partners explains the play’s premise: “It's hard to find your perfect match, someone you really connect with; someone who will dedicate their life to destroying you at all costs. Yes, sometimes it feels like you'll NEVER meet your nemesis. But Captain Battle and Dr. Nightmare are willing to try out every hero and villain in town to find the enemy of their dreams.”

On the Cardigan stage in Humann Theatre, the boys brought the characters to life, embracing the quirks and foibles of each superhero. Congrats to the entire cast and crew for a memorable night!
