Cardigan Mask Update

Cardigan Mask Update

Unfortunately, despite Cardigan’s best efforts to source cloth masks that would (1) show our Cougar spirit, (2) be easily washable/maintainable, and (3) be effective and safe, the product we received from our vendor this week did not meet our expectations and high standards (i.e., it did not consistently pass the candle test).

As a result, we have returned the masks and have ordered a replacement product based on research and actual samples. We expect these to arrive shortly and we look forward to distributing them to families, students, and faculty as soon as possible. In the meantime, we advise all students to pack a dozen comfortable cloth masks to help begin the school year.

Lastly, because of the emergence of new data and further research by the Cardigan Health Center, we cannot allow the use of gaiters or “buffs”. We apologize for the inconvenience, but the health and safety of our community is our top priority. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
