Sub-Varsity Student-Athlete of the Week
Andy Cho ’26 - Thirds Hockey
Andy has been an incredibly solid presence both on and off the ice. He brings it to every practice, always gives maximum effort, and does whatever he can to improve each and every day. He had a particularly big day at Eaglebrook during which he was a dominant force on both sides of the ice. Andy is a stalwart on our team; he is always positive and someone on whom the team can rely.

Other Varsity Nominations
Kane Mori ’25 - Varsity Hockey
Kane had a huge week of hockey, tallying six points over two games and contributing all over the ice defensively and with his energy and leadership. He scored two huge goals in our win over Eaglebrook on Saturday and delivered several big hits on the forecheck. His intensity and dedication to the details and the processes of getting better have made him incredibly valuable to the team. Kane has been coachable and committed to the team, and he has played very good hockey all season long.
William Tong ’25 - Varsity Nordic Skiing
William had a great week of skiing. His skills are improving daily with his good effort. He has a positive attitude and always encourages his teammates to do their best. On Wednesday, he completed his first race of the season on the challenging trails at Holderness School. Well done, William!
Topher Bunnell ’28 - Varsity Alpine Skiing
Topher has been a wonderful addition to the ski team. His positivity and kindness are appreciated by all his coaches and teammates. He also finished fourth at the prestigious Bob Skinner’s Cup. Thank you for a great season so far, Topher!
Martin Ma ’25 - Varsity Snowboarding
Martin has been working really hard to ride his best, and despite wicked cold and icy conditions, he performed really well in this week’s slalom race at Gunstock Mountain. Because he always implements feedback from coaches and is willing to push his limits, his riding has come a long way.

Other Sub-Varsity Nominations
Henry Song ’27 - Reserve Basketball
Henry played lights out against Eaglebrook on Saturday, racking up 16 points in our 42-26 victory over our rival. He played a great game on both sides of the court––rebounding and blocking shots, covering the paint, and creating turnovers for fast-break opportunities. Even when he started getting double-teamed offensively, he expertly took the opportunity to draw the defense to himself and then dish the ball to wide-open players who could put up shots right under the basket. He played a great game all around and led our team to a huge win!
Jorge Belden ’26 - Recreational Skiing and Snowboarding
Jorge consistently demonstrates an exceptional commitment to the sport, showing up every day with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. He approaches each training session with a willingness to push his limits and try new techniques, constantly striving to improve. His dedication to mastering new challenges while maintaining a sense of fun and enjoyment is truly inspiring to his teammates and coaches alike. Jorge embodies the spirit of skiing, making him a deserving candidate for this recognition.
Quinn Suarez ’26 - JV Hockey
Quinn has elevated his game over the last few weeks. He has played with more confidence and speed and has scored and assisted on some big goals, including the double overtime winner this past weekend against Eaglebrook.
Mana Petrini ’25 - Reserve Hockey
Mana comes to practice every day ready to work hard and put forth his best effort. He sets an example for each and every one of the members of his team. Most recently in our game against Eaglebrook, he stopped many of their offensive plays and gave 100% of himself during every shift. Additionally, Mana is always looking for ways to help the team and is a great mentor for our younger skaters.
Leo Hwang ’26 - JV Basketball
Leo came alive in the second half of our away game at Eaglebrook, spurring the rest of the team into gear. It was his effort and persistence on the defensive end that got our team back into the game. He has also been one of the more consistent hustlers in practice all season long.
