Loss 2-8

It was a long fought battle on Eaglebrook Day and the Cardigan Reserve Lacrosse Team gave everything they had on the field. Off the first whistle, Andrew Reilly ‘21, playing midfield, scored the first goal, boosting the Cougar confidence. However, undeterred the Eagles responded with two back to back goals. The score stalled during periods 2 and 3, with a lot of goal to goal running, ground balls, and blocked shots. Sean Wang ‘21 had a great game with two goals with long pole Wilson Knapp ‘21 making an assist. The Cougars ended the game with a loss, but with their heads held high. Every player left 110% on the field to finish out the season. Cardigan is so proud of the Reserve Cougar's effort, teamwork, and dedication this season.

Claremont Middle School
Win 12-2

The Cardigan Reserve Lacrosse Team faced off against Claremont for another fast paced lacrosse game. The Cougar’s strong defense including Andy Yoon ‘20, Lorenzo Lopez ‘19, Wilson Knapp ‘21, and Andrew Reilly ‘21 once again set up a fortress to defend their goalie Diego Tabaras Gonzalez ‘19 not letting any player pass into the shooting zone. Midfielders Ale Elek ‘20 and Santi Bueno ‘20 sped down the field for quick passes and quick goals. The Cougars worked together to nail another victory and build their confidence for the upcoming battle against Eaglebrook.

Plymouth 5/6
Win 6-1

The sun finally broke through the northern New Hampshire skies this past Wednesday for the Cardigan Reserve Lacrosse Team to take on Plymouth. The Cougars arrived to the bucolic field with the sun at their backs and fire in their eyes. At the first whistle, it was evident that the Cougars were up against an even match with Plymouth. After a few runs up and down the field, the Cougars were able to get the ball in the net, but Plymouth retaliated within a few minutes. The Cougars had multiple shots on goal throughout the game; Sean Wang ‘21, Ved Bhat ‘20, Ale Elek ‘20, and Ale Ramirez ‘22 were among a few players to get shots past the strong Plymouth goalie. In addition, the Cougar Defense of Wilson Knapp ‘21, Andy Yoon ‘20, Lorenzo Lopez ‘19, and Andrew Reilly ‘21 had a strong effort creating a wall to protect goalie, Diego Gonzalez ‘19. The Cougars ended the game with a hard fought 6-1 win. The Cougars are looking forward to their game Saturday and ending the season with a final face off against Eaglebrook.
