National Teacher Appreciation Week takes place from May 4 to 8. At Cardigan, we use this week to celebrate all of our employees, and if ever there was a year to praise those most dedicated to Cardigan, this is it.
Traditionally we would honor these community members by staging a space in the Commons, covering the windows with uplifting messages of thanks, and filling it with homemade snacks, specialty coffees, and sweet treats for the faculty and staff to enjoy. This year’s celebration will look different, but we are no less appreciative of the good work of our amazing teachers, health center, grounds crew, housekeeping, facilities, and kitchen staff, who are all going above and beyond to keep Cardigan moving forward with consistency and excellence.
This year, we invite you to honor these community members with a recorded video message of gratitude. We will create a montage (perhaps several depending on the responses) and share those with the community beginning on May 4. Send your videos to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are able, we further ask you to donate a care package, or items that could be bundled into a package. All community members’s names will be entered into raffles and we hope to give away care packages throughout the week to celebrate and lift up the wonderful members of this special community.
