Members of the Alumni Board, led by Malcolm Boyd ’03, are working to engage with alumni of color to hear and amplify the stories of their Cardigan experience. In Malcolm’s words, the goals of this initiative are simple:
To me it is important to understand that each student has not just an individual right, but also a responsibility, to offer his contributions to Cardigan. Collectively our goals are to begin and support hard conversations on diversity, equity, and inclusion amongst students, faculty, and alumni; to demonstrate how to use one’s time at Cardigan to appreciate the contributions of others; and to talk about what it means to be a Cardigan student for everyone, no matter race or background.
There are a multitude of ways in which you can participate in this initiative. To learn more, please contact Jeremiah Shipman ’00 at firstname.lastname@example.org.
