Alumni and their families are invited to return to Cardigan on Friday and Saturday, August 9 and 10 for summer fun and the 7th Annual Alumni Lacrosse Game!
On Friday, make yourself at home and enjoy all our campus has to offer including the waterfront, tennis courts, and biking trails. In the afternoon, we’ll host an alumni softball game on Marrion Field with a cocktail reception and cookout dinner to follow. Alumni who would like to spend the evening on campus, are invited to stay lakeside in Cardigan’s C.O.R.E. Cabin. The accommodations are comfortable, yet rustic, and guests should know that the cabin lacks electricity and running water.
On Saturday, early risers are invited to join in a sunrise hike up Mount Cardigan followed by a Polar Bear plunge all before breakfast in the Cardigan Commons.
After breakfast, in the spirit of helping the other fella, guests are invited to participate in community service in the Canaan community.
At 11:00 a.m., we’ll play the 7th Annual Alumni Lacrosse Game. Players of all ages and abilities are invited to join in this gentleman’s game, led by honorary captains Kirk Franklin ’78, P’10,’13 and Alex Gray H’12,P’14,’16.
Witness the progress on Cardigan’s newest project, our 19,000 square foot arts, woodshop, and Gates center called Wallach, peruse the Cardigan archives, or take a campus tour to see what’s changed and what’s stayed the same since your last visit!
This weekend is open to all Cardigan alumni and their families and is free to attend. Kindly RSVP online, noting if you would like to play softball, lacrosse, or both, or whether you’ll be a spectator.
