Our Core Values

To achieve our mission, we reward effort and accomplishment, helping each boy realize his academic, physical, and personal potential through honoring our core values of Compassion, Integrity, Respect, and Courage in all aspects of daily life.

Equity and Belonging

Cardigan Mountain School is a close-knit community committed to building a culture of equity and belonging in which all members are safe and supported to be themselves. We welcome, include, and appreciate the unique contributions of each member and are committed to confronting biases, addressing the impact of privilege on academic outcomes, and making the Cardigan experience more accessible to boys and families. The school is dedicated to meeting each boy where he is and providing support for all to learn and grow as they prepare for their next step beyond The Point.

Honor Code

Every student is expected to sign the Honor Code Contract, signifying his commitment to the school’s Honor Code and acknowledging that he has read and understands the contents of the Student Handbook.

Cardigan Mountain School Honor Code

  • I will be honest, and I will respect all members of the Cardigan community.
  • I will put forth my best effort in all areas of school life, including but not limited to academic endeavors, extracurricular activities, and dormitory living.
  • I will support the standards of Cardigan Mountain School and encourage others to do the same.

We’re a place where it’s important to kind to one another. It’s important not to be sarcastic, and it is important to ‘help the other fella.’ We take that seriously here. We talk about our Core Values constantly. They’re important to us, and we we want to aspire to live them.”
