Summer Session Teachers

The Cardigan Mountain School Summer Session looks to hire teachers and aspiring teachers for our summer program. In the mornings our students take in five class periods in Math, English, ESL, Foreign Languages, Science, and Organization/study skills. In the afternoon the campus looks like a traditional summer camp with a plethora of outdoor and indoor activities.

Aspiring Teacher Program: Observes and works with a mentor during the academic morning to build up to co-teaching classes later on in the summer, supervises two activity periods in the afternoon, and assists in dorm supervision. Classroom experience not required. Many members of this program work with their university to get class credit along with this position.

Residential Teacher: Teaches four periods in the morning, supervises one activity period in the afternoon, and assists in dorm supervision. Classroom or teacher training experience required. Classroom experience desired.

Day Teacher: Teaches four periods in the morning. Classroom experience desired.
