 Associate/Assistant Director of AdmissionsCardigan Mountain School, an all-boys junior boarding school serving students in grades six through nine, seeks a motivated, highly organized, creative and experienced independent school professional to serve as an associate/assistant director of admissions. Reporting directly to the director of admissions, this individual will assist in all areas of the recruitment and enrollment process, including meeting with prospective students and their families, conducting inquiry follow-up, representing the School at admissions-related events both on and off-campus, development of marketing and communication initiatives, and serving as a member of the Admissions Committee. The ideal candidate will have also have knowledge of and experience with need-based financial aid programs. The opportunity to serve as a coach, dormitory affiliate, and/or advisor is a possibility.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher and an understanding of and appreciation for independent education and the small boarding school experience.
- 3-5 years experience in independent school and/or college admissions and financial aid.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced professional environment.
- Willingness to travel both domestically and abroad.
- Effective team member with a good sense of humor.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and FileMaker-based data systems a plus.

 Director of Health ServicesCardigan Mountain School seeks a director of Health Services, to be responsible for the operation of Cardigan’s Hamilton Family Foundation Health Center. For more details, click “Read More” or download the position description. Send resumes to Joseph McHugh.  The Director of Health Services’ duties include:
- Administer medication to students according physician instructions; prepare relavant documents; communicate with physicians and parents to obtain authorization forms; notify parents of need for prescription refills as necessary; maintain contact with physicians as references and/or for consultations;
- Treat illnesses and injuries to students including determining method of treatment, maintaining confidentiality, documenting and notifying parents, guardians or Emergency Medical Services providers;
- Remain with and offer comfort to the ill or injured student until released to the parent, guardian or appropriate faculty member;
- Provide coverage when a student is confined to the health center during overnight hours;
- Supervise nursing staff; maintain health center in a neat and organized manner; dispose of biomedical waste and hazards according to established procedures; maintain inventory and order first aid supplies as necessary; ensure medications are kept in secure cabinets;
- Observe and report any unusual behaviors or unsafe student activity to school administrators; assume responsibility for intervention and coordinate counseling appointments for students with mental health issues in conjunction with the Dean of Students; participate in bi-weekly medical team meetings with the Director of Studies, Dean of Students, Athletic Trainer, and School Psychologist;
- Maintain student health records and accident reports including treatment records/logs, immunization records, handicap and allergy information, and hearing/vision screening to include computer data entry of information while assuring confidentiality at all times; ensure that all information is documented clearly, accurately, and legally;
- Receive and review incoming student health files from parents or other schools; communicate with parents or other schools to clarify or obtain information as needed;
- Participate in faculty meetings as required;
- Maintain professional standing through required continuing education;
- Perform necessary clerical duties including typing reports, correspondence, forms, notices, and referrals; maintain files and duplicate materials as needed;
Qualifications:
- RN from an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred, will be required within five years;
- Must hold a current, active NH nursing license;
- 10 or more years experience in nursing, managerial experience preferred;
- Strong attention to detail with regard to record keeping and correspondence;
- Strong communication skills and ability to effectively present information to students, parents, faculty, and school administrators;
- A high degree of professionalism and the ability to work with administrators, teachers, dorm parents, coaches, and other school staff.
