Like our colleagues in the classroom, we in the Admissions Office are educators, and our goal is to help each prospective student and his family find the school that is right for them…and of course, we hope that school is Cardigan!
Our program offers boys wonderful opportunities for academic, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth and development at a crucial stage of their adolescence. Our students interact with the adults in our community throughout each day both in and outside of the classroom, and the relationships developed through these interactions provide our boys with strong mentoring and positive role models in all aspects of their lives.
Spending time on our website is a great way to gather initial information about Cardigan, but the best way to get a feel for what the School is all about is for you and your son to come to campus for a personal visit. You will have the opportunity to tour our facilities, meet with an admissions officer, and meet and speak with current students and faculty members.

 Chip AudettDirector of Admissions 603.523.3510 Year Appointed: 2007 Middlebury College - MA Middlebury College - BA This is Chip’s third year at Cardigan, though he is very familiar with the school having spent several years “on the other side of the desk” from our students in the admissions office at Tabor Academy and KUA. After receiving his BA in Economics and French from Middlebury College, Chip spent two years in France where he earned his MA in French Language and Civilization, also from Middlebury. He began his independent school career at Tabor as a French teacher and girls’ hockey coach, and over the course of the past twenty years he has worked at both boarding and day schools in college counseling, communications and development in addition to admissions. Chip lives on campus with his wife, Kyle, son, Jack, and pug, Gus. He enjoys running, cycling and golf. |
 Brian BealeAssociate Director of Admissions and Director of Financial Aid 603.523.3528 Year Appointed: 2007 Bates College Though Brian Beale hails from Philadelphia, he considers himself a New Englander at heart. After attending Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, Brian spent four years in New Hampshire, two of which were at Dublin School where he served as assistant director of admission, lacrosse coach, and dorm parent. After two years at Dublin, he continued his career in admissions at Princeton Day School in Princeton, New Jersey. After three years at PDS, Brian returned to New Hampshire and is thrilled to be a part of the Cardigan Mountain School Community as associate director of admissions and director of financial aid. In addition to his role in the Admissions Office, Brian is a dorm parent and lacrosse coach. He lives in Lebanon, N.H., and enjoys running, skiing, soccer, cooking, and traveling. |
 John Bayreuther603-523-3544 Year Appointed: 2004 Springfield College - BA John teaches Religion, and coaches soccer, hockey, and lacrosse. He has a BA in History from Springfield College, and has worked toward a Master’s degree in Athletic Administration. Most recently, he was the First Assistant Lacrosse Coach at the University of Denver. In the past, he taught English, World History, and American History at the Hyde School, in Bath, Maine. John also specialized in Family and Character Education, as the Dean of Students at Hyde, which is the top family and character education school in the US.
John lives in Stowell House with his wife Jessica and four children, Gavin (’09), Morgan, Beckham, and Jack. |
 Jessica Bayreuther603-523-3548 Year Appointed: 2004 Springfield College - BS Jessica previously worked as an Athletic Trainer and an Athletic Director. She also taught science at a few different boarding schools.
At Cardigan, Jessica ran the School Store for over four years and is now working in the Admissions Office. She is also a dorm parent in Stowell House. Wife of John, Mom of Gavin '09, Morgan, Beckham, and Jack. |
